Stunning! Pure Silk Habotai is pole wrapped and painted with acid dyes in a Japanese technique known as arashi shibori-arashi means driving rain. Fall tones - Olive, purples and browns reminiscent of oak leaves in Fall. This is a truly one of a kind piece I made in my studio in Shelburne Falls, MA. 
The creases from the binding around the pole are permanent and give a beautiful texture to this piece of wearable art.
Wash cool water, line dry. Steam iron, silk setting. Texture and creases are permanent and a distinct part of this ancient process. Please don't try to iron them away.
